The Firemaster

The Firemaster
An extremely solid and smart looking alternative to a wood burning or multi fuel stove
It is a convector fire designed to be inserted into an opening (perhaps where a Rayburn has been removed although a gap this size will mean localised building work to enclose the Firemaster) and is for those who like the look of an open fire but which is more controllable.
The Firemaster has an internal damper which allows the rate of air to be altered thereby saving fuel (and money...do I hear complaints?!!)
It is not to be used as a free standing feature, but needs to be supported and of course with non combustible material.
The Firemaster merely slots into an existing fireplace and does not necessarily need a liner. It can also be inserted into a purpose built space if someone wishes to build a chimney themselves - however it would need to be adapted in order to do this. Speak or email Geoff if this is an option you wish to consider.
As with any fire, it has to be treated with respect. Unlike a stove, there are no doors to keep the sparks and burning fuel contained. At the least a fireguard should be used and small children and animals kept under vigilant supervision. It is possible to teach very young children to keep away from the fire, even though they may not know why!!
We highly recommend that the fire is not banked up at night, no matter how tempting, as it has been known for sparks to find a way through the smallest mesh fireguard - or a log to fall out and knock the guard away.
There is a magnetic fireguard available for purchase with this fire if required.
Takes good sized logs so no need to keep running to the log basket and also coal/coalite etc
As always, we strongly recommend audible smoke and carbon monoxide alarms(the latter ideally to be fitted at the bottom of the stairs if you have them)
